City Dogs Moving to New Location
In late June or July, City Dogs will be moving to it's new location
at NW 38th and Hammond. The new agility field will be large
enough to support two training fields. This will be a big
improvement over the current location, which is not as large as a
full-fledged agility ring.
The new location will be fully fenced and have a 15 space concrete
parking lot. The field is flat and covered in thick grass.
Several trees are located on the permimeter of the field, allowing for
plenty shade for crated dogs and resting handlers.
"This is a major step forward for City Dogs and for agility in
Oklahoma City," says owner/trainer Kristin Kaldahl. "This field
will provide an excellent space for high-level, competition agility
training, and City Dogs will be able to accomodate more students,
allowing for a shorter wait to get into classes."
City Dogs focuses soley on agility training, Kaldahl said.
People wishing to join in the sport of agiity on the Northwest side of
town no longer have to travel long distances or join programs who's
sole purpose isn't agility.
Phase two of the new location will include lighting the field, allowing for classes to run in the evenings during the winter months.
"We're very excited about our new location," said Kaldahl.
"Our students, who already excel at the sport, will benefit even
further from full-time access to the field with pass keys."
Northwest 38th and Hammond is located just one block south and west
of NW 39th and MacArthur in Warr Acres.
