CityDoggers qualify for Nationals!!
Two of City Dogs' students have qualified for the 2007 AKC Agility Nationals to be held next year in Ohio. Deepfork's Aslan RE, MX, MXJ, NAC, NJC, R-SN, J-SN, CL-R2, TDI, CGC, FFX-AG, a four-year-old sheltie, qualified in April for the prestigious event. Maggie MX, MXJ, NAC, NJC, NGC, TN-N, WV-N, a four-year-old Border Collie, qualified shortly thereafter. Both dogs met the qualification requirements with six months left to go in the qualifying period.
Aslan is owned by Kristin Kaldahl, owner and trainer of City Dogs. Aslan jumps in the 12" jump height. Maggie is owned by Sherry and Rex Swanson and is handled by Sherry. Maggie jumps in the 20" jump height.
To qualify for the 2007 AKC Agility Nationals, a dog must earn 6 Double Qs and more than 300 speed points from the Excellent B Class in just over a year's time. This is a very daunting challenge.
Aslan and Maggie are the only dogs in Oklahoma City who have qualified for the 2007 AKC Nationals. In addition, they are the first dogs in Oklahoma to qualify for the National event.
A hearty congratulations to Maggie and Sherry and Aslan and Kristin for this exciting accomplishment!
