Plail's Eighth Tribe at Deepfork NA, NAJ, NF, CGC
This is my newest family addition, Asher. Asher was born in August 2007 in Colorado. He is the son of Dash and Keen (World Team 2004). Keen is also the son of Dustin (World Team 2001 and 2003). Dustin and Keen are well known in the country in agility circles.
So, Asher has big shoes to fill, but it appears he's on his way! He is bold, outgoing, firey and full of energy. In spite of being extremely drivey and hyped up when he sees motion (especially dogs running agility), I've been able to get him to focus back on me. We are working hard on this as he will need to focus inspite of the excitement of the game. He's making great strides.
His training is progressing nicely. He has graduated from puppy class and Canine Good Citizen Class. He tested for and passed his CGC at just seven months! He began trialing in agility in October, 2009. He is fast, furious and exciting to run. I'm learning how to handle a wild dog, and enjoying every moment. Asher loves agility and weaves like a madman. I'm really excited about his future. He's going to be a challenge, and we are going to have a blast together
He is also working on Rally and may begin trialing in Rally Obedience in the not too distant future. It's hard for him to stay focused doing the slower sport of Rally, but as he matures, his focus is becoming stronger.
In the home, Asher's wild side disappears, and he becomes a sweet, loving, cuddle dog. He loves to get as close as possible to me, and "sweet" really describes his personality outside of the working environment.
Stay tuned to watch Asher work through the agility ranks!
